NAMING
You were named before you could object.
Next time the objecting is yours. Candidate names tested against a specific surname.
For anyone choosing a name for a child — and wanting to hear how it will sit against the surname for a lifetime.
Five checks
- Seam letter — when the name ends on the letter the surname starts with, the two collapse into one sound.
- Rhythm — an equal syllable count flattens the pairing when spoken.
- Stops at the seam — two in a row and the tongue trips.
- Vowel onto vowel — the two names merge into a single word.
- The word at the seam — the main check. Parents do not hear it until a schoolyard says it aloud.
How we differ
- Everyone else recommends a name «for the child's character» — a character that does not exist yet.
- We test how the name sits on your actual surname, which is what a person lives with daily.
- We compare candidates against each other and say exactly what is wrong with each.
